Deruta Galletto Red 8.5" Medium Rooster Pitcher
Bring the vibrant colors and artistry of Italy into your home with this Deruta Galletto red rooster pitcher.
The Galletto pattern grew out of 13th-century ceramics from the Umbrian town of Orvieto, and Deruta's artisans later added the rooster. Because of the Medici family's 15th-century legend, in which crowing roosters alerted Giuliano de' Medici to approaching assassins, rooster pitchers like this one are considered good fortune providers.
