Deruta Galletto Red 7X4" Serving Tray
Bring the vibrant colors and artistry of Italy into your home with this Deruta Galletto red serving tray.
The Galletto pattern grew out of 13th-century ceramics from the Umbrian town of Orvieto. In the 19th century, Deruta's artisans added the rooster and modernized the leaves. The rooster is said to bring good fortune, thanks to a 15th-century legend in which crowing roosters warned Giuliano de' Medici of approaching assassins. Hand-painted by the Labor Deruta workshop, this little tray is perfect for antipasti, olives, or small treasures.
